Questions
Euphoria — Today at 16:02 wtf is up with all the bots joining, seems more prominent than ever
- Unfortunately, we have no additional information from discord on what may be causing the recent surge in bot accounts, but we encourage pings to the moderator role whenever bots are identified.
Lexevo — Today at 16:10 Is it difficult to make sure that there's enough Moderators around in all time zones to keep responses quick? Or do you think that there's sufficient moderators spread across time zones for that to happen?
- This was one of the goals of the prior moderation recruitment wave. We think we have a reasonable spread of moderators by timezone at this point, but will continue to make it a recruitment goal as need demands going forward.
Lexevo — Today at 16:13 What are the procedures that take place when a moderation decision turns out to be incorrect?
- We evaluate appeals submitted by users who recieved account restrictions with essentially the same procedures as initially issuing them. We review the evidence, reach out for more if it appears insufficient, and then collaboratively (two or more) mods determine if adjustments to the account restrictions would be appropriate.
- Alternatively, if a moderator acted inappropriate, moderation leads would reach out to interview them, gather evidence as appropriate, and remove the mod if needed.
FuzzyFoxe — Today at 16:26 Probably a question for dev team, but is it possible to mitigate floating point errors by making worlds move around the player instead of moving the player around a world?
- Yes, though the specifics of how are best brought to the #questions-help channel.
