As a supplementary page to Neos Credits here is a FAQ to answer some of the questions we see regarding NCR. We'll update this with questions as they come in.
Please only send ETH (Ethereum) on the Ethereum Mainnet Chain to the Minting Address! Other coins/tokens are not supported.
The Basics
How can I get/download Neos?
You have 2 options:
- Download it from Steam - This version will not support NCR
- Download it from our website, just press "Get Neos"
How NCR works?
Who can own/mint NCR?
Anyone can. You just need an ERC-20 compatible Ethereum wallet.
How much NCR is currently available?
This varies depending on what you're asking and when you're reading it. You can read some of our key details about this on our Neos Credits page. Look for the key details section and then look at our website. For some specific questions see below:
How much NCR is in circulation?
Check our website, look at the NCR section and see the section titled "total minted so far", the number on the left is the amount of NCR in circulation.
How much NCR has been minted so far?

What is the total supply?
You can read about this on our website or our whitepaper but in summary: 50 Million.
What is a batch/how do batches work?
Every time a batch of 100k NCR is minted, the price to mint new NCR increases by 1.25% (this is fixed relative to USD). The price to mint the first batch was indeed 0.06 USD.
How do I know what batch we're currently on?
Check our website's NCR section for the "Minting Batch" number.
How much does NCR cost?
NCR's price is tied to USD and will change. So check our website for the current price. In the NCR section it's listed under the text: NCR minting price.
What was the initial price of NCR?
0.06 USD on 16th July 2018.
When did the NCR ICO Start?
It started on: 2018-07-16, AKA 16th July 2018.
When does the NCR ICO end?
Originally the ICO would have ended once all 50 Million coins had been minted and currently the minting mechanism remains unchanged. Right now you can still mint NCR at the price shown on the official website.
However, if not all coins have been minted by some point in Q1 2022, it is expected that minting through the ICO will be stopped and the un-minted coins used to provide rewards to NCR stakers. See #Can_I_stake_NCR_.2F_Is_there_staking and linked Discord posts for all the information available right now.

Can I stake NCR / Is there staking?
No, not at this time.
However, if the ICO has not finished by some point in Q1 2022, a staking mechanism will be implemented along with an update to the whitepaper. See this Discord post. This is expected to allow holders to stake NCR for a period of 1 to 3 years with staking rewards coming from un-minted NCR - see this Discord post.
How will staking affect CDFT?
CDFT Batches will continue to mint even if staking exists.
Will you "burn" any tokens?
No.
Do you have any Airdrops or giveaways of tokens?
No, not at this time.
Is NCR/Neos a DAO can I vote on stuff?
No, we're not a DAO.
You can vote on new features and issues though.
Is Neos P2E (Play to Earn)?
No, you won't earn any currency by playing.
Is Neos P2P (Pay to Play)?
No, Neos is 100% free.
Does Neos mine cryptocurrency when it is running?
No.
Does Neos use NFTs?
No, we don't.

How many decimal places does NCR go up to?

Who are the top holders I'm worried about their holdings?
Due to the nature of cryptocurrency, its not always possible to discover who the owner of a wallet is. However, to help a small amount here's a table of top holders which Neos does control:

The website does not update often, what gives?
We don't currently, have automation on the website. We're working on this but this does mean that the website is only updated periodically. Don't worry though See this question for pricing.
- Minting address - For security, we only list this on the main Neos website.

Acquiring / Owning / Using NCR
How do I buy/get NCR?
Please only send ETH (Ethereum) on the Ethereum Mainnet Chain to the Minting Address! Other coins/tokens are not supported.
There are four ways to get NCR:
- Mint it through our NCR ICO.
- Buy it through an exchange: #What_exchanges_are_you_on.3F
- Subscribe to our Patreon which will give you some NCR monthly.
- Buy it from other players in-game.

What's the strategy for exchange liquidity?
Currently, our main liquidity is in USDC/NCR on Uniswap.
We'll be evaluating this as more exchanges support NCR.
How can I mint NCR?
Send ETH to the minting address listed on our website, from an ERC-20 Compatible Wallet. You will receive your NCR back within 48-72 Hours.

I sent ETH to the Minting address many days/hours ago, I have not received tokens what is up?
We're experiencing a large backlog in terms of minting. Please be patient and ensure you're giving us 48-72 hours.
If your transaction is taking longer please continue to be patient. We're processing things as quickly as we can.
Can you speed up minting, it should be automated?
We're constantly working on our flows and handling here to make things better and faster but these things take time. Be patient. We'll get there.
How much can I mint now?
That's practically unlimited, but check our website's NCR section and see the section titled "total minted so far", the number on the left is the amount of NCR in circulation. Subtract that from the total supply (50 Million) and that's how much you could mint.
I sent a low value ETH transaction to the mint/ICO, why have I not received any NCR?
As per the whitepaper: "The value of NCR obtained directly corresponds to the minting process batch pricing minus a network transaction fee". In the case of low value transactions the transaction fee exceeds the value of ETH that was sent and as such we cannot return NCR to you.
What terms/agreements/guidelines/policies are in place when I participate in the mint/ICO?
By minting NCR via the ICO, you agree to all terms in the Neos whitepaper.
Can NCR be mined?
No, it can only be minted or purchased.
How can I sell NCR?
You can sell NCR in a number of ways:
- Through an exchange:
- We currently only support Uniswap. Check our website, for a link to the Uniswap pool. It's in the NCR section.
- To other players in-game. This is not officially supported so at your own risk.
Does Neos have land I can buy/sell/own?
No, we don't.
Does the ICO/Mint support WETH, USDC or other coins/tokens?
No, we don't. Please only send ETH.
Why would I mint NCR when I can buy it?
Buying NCR on Uniswap etc, can sometimes lead to a worse price than the minting price. It varies depending on a number of factors. Minting also puts more NCR into the economy which will lead to new batches and price increases of NCR. So if you can it is in your best interest to Mint when possible.
What can I use NCR for?
You can use NCR for a number of things right now:
- Buying Storage in-game
- Tipping users for their creations
- Contracting users for making items - We don't have an official contract/invoice system but this is on our roadmap
But that's not all, on our roadmap is:
We do not have plans for any NFT functionality right now.
Can I buy storage with NCR?
What price will I get when I mint tokens through the ICO?
When submitting a transaction to the ICO/Mint, you'll get your ETH converted to NCR using the price shown on the Neos Website at the time of the transaction's confirmation.
This does not apply to Uniswap or other exchanges, please see the documentation or information on how those exchanges work to understand how your price is determined.
For exact price calculations we use BlockChair.com for our price calculations which can vary somewhat when compared to other websites. We understand that this might be alarming but all transactions have been processed using this site to date so we're aiming to be fair and equal.
Is the price on the website accurate?
It represents our latest price update so, yes.
After I mint tokens, I don't see the website update why is this?
The website is not automated and is instead updated periodically. Don't worry though and see the following question: #What_price_will_I_get_when_I_mint_tokens_through_the_ICO.3F.
When did NCR get added to exchanges?
- Uniswap: 28th September 2020
- Bitrue: 25th November 2021
In Neos Operations
Here are some directions on how to do things inside Neos.
How do I deposit NCR into my Neos Account?
First, you'll need a deposit address, to get this log into Neos with your regular account inside Neos and find the "Deposit NCR" button on the Home screen of the Dash.
You cannot get a deposit address any other way.
Pressing this will allocate you a deposit address, this address is permanent and assigned to just your account. The deposit address will appear in a separate window:
Once you have this address, you can send a regular transaction to this address of NCR.
DO NOT send ETH to this address or any other token.
It can take up to 48-72 Hours for deposited funds to appear in your Neos account.
How do I withdraw NCR from my Neos Account
Log into Neos, on the home page of the dash you'll find a "Withdraw NCR" button:
Click this and a new window will appear, in this window select NCR and then press next, you'll see this:
Enter your amount, a wallet address and a transaction comment.
Ensure the wallet address:
- Is correct, triple check it!
- Can receive ERC-20 Tokens
Once you're sure hit Next and continue.
It can take up to 48-72 hours to receive your NCR to the withdrawal address.
If Moderation places account restrictions on my account can I still access my NCR?
As long as your account is not locked you'll still be able to access your home world and perform all NCR related operations. If your account is locked, you will need to contact hello@neos.com to request assistance.
Unless your account has been locked, restrictions do not prevent you from launching the game or logging in.
Patreon
Can I Opt-Out of receiving NCR with my Patreon pledge?
Yes, see our Patreon page for more information.
Can I Opt-Out of receiving NCR from other players?
Yes, see our Patreon page for more information. It has Opt-out information.
I'm a Patreon where does my NCR go / I'm a Patreon how do I provide my wallet address?
Your Patreon NCR is delivered to your Neos account, you need a Neos account to receive it.
Additionally, you need to make sure that your Neos account is linked to your Patreon account.
I'm a Patreon when do I get my NCR?
You get your NCR within 48-72 hours after a billing cycle occurs. A billing cycle begins at the start of each month. Patreon will charge your payment method on Patreon and then you'll get your Patreon NCR.
If you become a Patreon after the first of the month we will not charge you until the start of the next month, this also means you won't get NCR for that month.
Can you send my Patreon NCR to a wallet instead?
Sorry, this is not supported at this time.

Why aren't you on more Exchanges?
We're constantly investigating and exploring other exchanges and sites to add NCR to. At this time we're happy with the sites that we're listed on but this may change as things grow.
Things here may change once a few features on our roadmap are completed, such as the New Neos Website or Neos Store.
What does Neos think about accelerating growth of NCR?
We're happy with the current growth and appreciate everyone for their interest in Neos. We're not actively looking to speed anything up as we're focused on building the tech first.
We still welcome and appreciate all investments and investors entering our community.
Things here may change once a few features on our roadmap are completed, such as the New Neos Website or Neos Store.
Why aren't you doing more marketing?
Our main marketing initiatives right now may seem odd but we're building the technology and platform first, before concentrating on more marketing. See the above question for more information.

What is Neos Pro?
Neos Pro is a license for commercial and institutional use of Neos. You do not need one to invest in, , buy, sell or mint NCR. You also do not need one to play Neos.
Do you have a Telegram group?
We do not have any official telegram groups. There are some community ones available but please use these at your own risk.
Who are your "Admins"?
We don't really use that phrase here. On Neos we have a few groups you'll see in our discord or in-game. See the next question for a list of those.
Who are your team members?
We have a variety of groups:
